List of awareness measures foreseen in our country from 6 to 10 May 2013:

With support from the British Transport Police and our partners we’re running awareness events at over 100 level crossings throughout UK. Having presence at crossings, handing out leaflets and give-aways, going into schools and engaging with the public in the locality of the crossing will raise awareness. Our level crossing national campaign advert, See Track/Think Train, will be airing on TV too. We are also sponsoring Walk to School week providing information on safe use of crossings for the children their teachers and parents.
List of measures taken in our country that have improved significantly the safety at level crossings:

1. introduction of new organisation and operating regime (100+ people)
2. national television adverts See Track / Think Train
3. schools campaigns – Rail life, Walk to school week
4. young people’s campaign – Proffessor Green (Musician)
5. press coverage – national tv news programmes, industry news
6. leaflets, posters, and other collateral supporting See Track / Think Train
